The last living founder member of Gazaria Samity
Janab Habib-Ur-Rahman hails from Bhaberchar and born on 1st January 1919.He passed Matriculation examination in the year 1939 and I.Com in the year 1942.He joined British government service as office assistant in the IGP office.During the infamous Calcutta riot in between Hindu and Muslims he left the job of IGP office and joined the service in Public Health Engineering.Later he returned to East Pakistan with continuance of the same job and ultimately retired from the said department in the year1980.
He joined the Gazaria Janakallyan Samity from its very initiation and worked with Janab SD Khan and Dr.Abdul Gaffar Khan at Calcutta with the affairs of the Samity.Later he continued to serve the Samity in the locality and continued till he was in service.Lately he has participated in the AGM 2012 of the Samity on 4th December 2012.
Janab Habib-Ur-Rahman is an active social worker On his initiation his maternal uncle Janab Akhanji donated the land where Goshairchar High School established.He was also instrumental for establishing some Mosque and Madrasha at different places of the country.
Janab Habib-Ur-Rahman lives at 103 Manik Nagar,Dhaka.
As the last living initial member of the Samity he was awarded the Gazaria Padak.
